Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), statutory from 6th April 2007, will see the need for accurate and detailed documentation, as part of the all important 'Legal documentation pack'.
A third party and 'un-biased' report could prove crucial to a Landlord (or Tenant) should a dispute arise and the need for deposit monies being retained, or released, is in question. If a dispute leads to an arbitration hearing, an independently produced Inventory, Check-In and/or Check-Out report could prove a key factor in any discussions.
